Welcome to the American Burn Association (ABA) Verification Review interactive website, a robust tool offering a multitude of benefits to Burn Centers, Verification Site Reviewers and the Verification Review Committee. Some of these benefits include:
  • Convenience of real-time access, flexibility, and database collection
  • Explicit mapping of PRQ questions to criteria standards
  • Elimination of the cumbersome email process
  • Multiple subsequent users within each burn center
The Verification program is a rigorous process which helps to improve the care of the burn-injured patient by on-site consultation and verification of burn center performance and ongoing assessment of the criteria for appropriateness, timeliness, and practicality, all according to Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient.

ABA Verification Program Mission Statement

The mission statement of the ABA Verification Committee is to create national guidelines for the purpose of optimizing burn care in the United States. This objective may be accomplished through a voluntary review of potential and existing burn centers so that burn centers can provide organized and systemic care of the injured patient. Essential elements include evidence of process, structure and outcomes as outlined in the Resources for Optimal Care of the Injured Patient: 2013 document.

The ABA Central Office Staff is available to assist with your Verification Inquiries.
