On this register form, click on the "Already Registered" link, enter your email address and then click on "Forgot Password?". Click on your name to highlight it, and then click the Reset Your Password button. An email will be sent to you with a new password.  If you don't see the email in your inbox, please check your spam folder, as it may have been filtered there.

Question:  What if I need to change information I previously entered in my registration?

Answer:  Go to the ABLS Course Schedule at www.ameriburn.org/Templates/ABLS_Results.php to find your course. Scroll to the far right and click on "Register Online." Next, click on the "Already Registered" link in the online registration form. You will then be prompted to enter your email and password information to gain access to your registration.

Question:  What if I started registration but did not complete the process?

Answer:  Go to the ABLS Course Schedule at www.ameriburn.org/Templates/ABLS_Results.php to find your course. Scroll to the far right and click on "Register Online." Next, enter your email address and select the registration type and press continue button.   Now enter the password for your account, and it will ask you to verify your name and registration.  At that point you can make changes to your registration information.   If you forgot your password, click on the link for a temporary password.  If you never set up your account with a password, click on the link to begin a new registration.

Question:  What if my ABLS Provider Manual does not open on my computer?

Answer:  Many computer systems have different security settings which may be creating difficulties in accessing the manual.  Also, you should make sure that you have the most current version of Adobe Reader. Click here to download the most recent version of Adobe Reader. If you still have problems downloading the manual, please contact the ABA Office at 312-642-9260.

Question:  What if I need to cancel my registration or substitute another person in my place?

Answer:  Please contact the central ABA Office at 312-642-9260 to make any changes necessary in registration status.  You have up to one week prior to the course to cancel your registration in order to receive a refund.

Question:  What if my credit card information is declined?

Answer:  The system has high security settings when it comes to credit card information.  If the registrant information and the information on the credit card do not match this may create a problem.  Also the billing address for the credit card information must be entered in as it appears on your credit card statement.  If all else fails please contact the ABA office at 312-642-9260.

Question:  How do I get my certificate if I have lost my link to it?

Answer:  Please email Alice Zemelko zemelko@ameriburn.org at the ABA Central Office to request a new link for your certificate. In the email, please include your name, date and location of the course you completed.

Question:  My certificate is blank or is missing my name.

Answer:  The most common reason for this error is if when registering for the course, your full name and degree were not entered properly. If you have this problem, please email the ABLS Program Director, Alice Zemelko at zemelko@ameriburn.org. Please include in the email the following three pieces of information:

  • Your Name and Degree as you want it to appear on the certificate
  • Date of the Course that you attended
  • City and State where the course was taken

Question:  My course was cancelled. What happens to my registration fee?

Answer:  When a course is cancelled, you are encouraged to monitor the ABA website for future ABLS Provider courses in your area. When you register for an ABLS Provider Course at a different date and location, you will receive a code from the ABLS office that will transfer your fees to your new registration. Please call the ABA Central Office if you have any questions at (312) 642-9260.

Question:  How do I apply a discount code if I have received one from the course coordinator?

Answer:  Access the registration page for the appropriate ABLS Provider Course. When you indicate which medical category you are from the list of choices (non-physician, physician assistant, resident physician or physician), the screen will prompt you to enter a discount code. Please use the discount code received from the coordinator. This code is case sensitive.

Question:  I clicked on the register online link to the course I want to register for, but can't find where to register.

Answer:  Once you have clicked the "Register Online" link for the course you want to register for, a new page will open that contains introductory information about the course and faculty disclosures. Scroll down to the bottom of this page, enter your email address, select the type of registration, and click continue.

Question:  How long are the Provider and Instructor certifications good for?

Answer:  The ABLS Provider Course and Instructor Course certification are each valid for 4 years. For instructors during this four year period, you must participate in two observed teachings and two additional teachings, after which you can renew your instructor status by completing and passing a written test.
