Military Burn Research Program funding has been approved by the Senate! On August 23, the Senate passed its version of the Fiscal Year 2019 defense appropriations bill. Like the House version, it commits $8 million for the Military Burn Research Program. In September, we expect the House to pass this same bill (the defense bill is now part of a larger bill, so the House needs to approve the larger bill) and the President to sign it into law. Thank you for your help in encouraging lawmakers to continue to support funding on burn research for combat veterans.
