Congress recently approved continued funding for the Military Burn Research Program. The new bill, signed into law on September 28, 2018 commits $8 million in funding for the upcoming year.

The bill also contains a provision that requires the Defense Department to conduct a study on ways to improve military trauma training and determine ways that military physicians can best partner with civilian trauma and burn centers.

It’s important let Congress know you support burn research by thanking them for funding burn research for combat veterans. Without your engagement and advocacy, this burn research and treatment would not have been possible.
