The annual Burn Injury Summary Report consists of inpatient care data from submitting burn centers.
The 2023 Burn Injury Summary Report contains data from participating ABA hospital burn centers and represents five years of cumulative data (2018-2022).
- 30,135 cases in 2022; 152,312 cases over 5 years
- 109 burn data contributors from 39 states + DC
The report contains data from participating ABA hospital burn centers and represents the largest resource of the epidemiology of thermal injury for patients admitted to burn centers in North America. It is also the single most useful reference for determining benchmark standards for outcomes, such as mortality rate and hospital length of stay.
